ECO-MINISTRY |

All Pagans are called to serve the Earth in a most profound way, and Cedar Grove Druid Order is no exception! Both a means to give back to our community, and an act of sacred duty, our Eco-Ministry Program is our exoteric Work as a Grove. Our first Eco-Ministry involves Cedar Grove Druid Order in Washington's Adopt-A-Highway program. In addition to adopting a highway, Cedar Grove is exploring outlets for Eco-Ministry involving joint efforts with other religious groups in Whatcom County. Interfaith networking follows a very Druidic path of diversity and Ecology. Other Eco-Ministry programs on the drawing board for Cedar Grove Druid Order involve watershed cleanup, adopting trails, networking volunteer opportunities in Wildlife and Wilderness preservation, as well as fund raising for such programs and affiliated organizations. Get involved today! Donate and/or volunteer! Help make a difference! Contact Cedar Grove Druid Order for details!
CEDAR GROVE DRUID ORDER'S Adopt-A-Highway Program
Sign reflects the Order's name pre-Samhuinn 2006. "Washington State's Adopt-A-Highway Program is an anti-litter and roadside enhancement campaign intended to promote pride and local ownership in our beautiful state. It allows individuals and organized groups of citizens and/or businesses to work in partnership with the Department by "adopting" a section of state highway and agreeing to help take care of it. This program offers organizations a way to contribute to their community and state. "- WA State Dept. of Trans.Website. This is just the first of many Cedar Grove programs intended to both give back to the community, give back to the Earth, and contribute to harmonious human ecology here in Whatcom Co. All who wish to participate must view a training video before Clean Up Day. Our next clean up day is scheduled for April, 2006.

CEDAR GROVE DRUID ORDER'S Trail Stewardship Program
Aspen, Merlin, and Kismet on a recent Trail Stewardship outing. Eco-Ministry is not just about cleaning up the human environment. We are called to a healing service among the trees as well! Cedar Grove Druid Order is committed to the care for the Earth, both as Druids, and as caring human beings and children of the Goddess. Our Trail Stewardship outings involve both education as well as trash clean-up. Tree, plant and rock identification and lore enrich an already edifying community and nature service experience.
